Is 20 and 27 a bad age gap?

The guy I’m dating is 27 and he has 2 kids, is this just a silly idea? Sometimes I think to myself why would a 27 year old want someone so much younger? We get along great but he’s just so busy all of the time compared to me. I’m only at college doing nursing where as he has kids, has his own business, works, lives on his own where as I live in college halls and I just feel like we are on complete different paths but I like him?
Any opinions on this? Like I’ve meant to see him 2 times now but somethings came up with his business or with his kids and I believe him as he shows me proof? I don’t know what to do as I like him a lot but I think that that’s just a lot older than me? I just turned 20.
