The news in these here parts is the local seals have started eating the local dolphins and porpoises. Apparently, the males are also snacking on seal pups too. I've also read that over half of people who regularly swim with seals have missing fingers.

According to reports, Welsh, Irish, and Cornish seals are copying each other causing the behaviour to spread.

Now I've seen umpteen seals and dolphins, even when I'm swimming, they keep their distance although seals will stare at you. However many are now asking if seals eat dolphins and each other what's stopping them eating people?

There are huge numbers of seals around the UK so I reckon it's only a matter of time before some kid on a li-lo gets chomped and the tourist board has to cover it up

A custard slice (UK) or snot block (Australia) is loosely based on the French mille-feuille. It consists of a block of congealed custard sandwiched between two thin layers of puff pastry and topped with icing. I'm not sure if you have them in the USA or if they're even legal.

Personally, I think it's one of the worst patisseries going, but they sell well, so someone must be buying them, yet I've yet to meet anyone who's actually made one. I even know of one place that sells the off cuts at reduced price.

Perhaps it's because I think custard should be boiling hot and runny, something you pour over a pudding. Cold, firm custard doesn't do it for me. Don't get me started on the piece of crap that's crème brùlee, don't pour custard into a pot and pretend it's a dessert.

I’m not someone who wants to make my parents worried but I think they’re easily worried sick. So I think lying to them by telling them I’m going to New Zealand when the truth is I’m going to Fiji for 5 days 4 nights. I don’t understand why my parents are so against me going to Paris which lead to me being forced to canceled my trip. This time I’m not gonna let them stop me I will just lie to them I’m going to NZ as a way to not let them have control over me but I have one thing to ask is Fiji safe for solo female travellers? I don’t want to end up get attacked there and I don’t want to end up regretting my trip so I’m just clarifying if it’s really that safe. Any tips and advice? Thank you.

Ok, so, like , Easter family dinner yesterday was awesome and fun and everything until my evil middle sister called me an oxymoron. 'Cuz , you know, we always put the fun in dysfunction and it's not really a Holiday 'til someone cries. So, anyways, being the totally, mature, responsible adult that I am, I replied by calling her an idiom and stuck out my tongue at her to emphasize her idiomness and then my grade school age nieces threatened to put us both in time out.

But I was left confused as to who should be more scathed by these words-of-wit? I mean, Is it worse to be an oxymoron or an idiom?

Met this guy who is 4-5 years younger.. seems to be attentive and when he talks to me he holds eye contact with me and while talking he asked me “what do you call it?” Like he wanted to make sure he was making sense or something I don't know.. also while talking to others he still slanted himself and looked at me numerous times which made me feel included
