Do you think this girl lied about killing her boyfriend out of self defense?

In my town it was all over the news that a woman killed her boyfriend and she told police right away that she was raped and killed him out of self defense and there was stories for other woman saying he stalked harassed and tried to rape them and the prosecutor and his family called her a liar that she killed him out of self defense and the prosecutor said she should have just left instead of stabbing him. Apparently she told her defense attorney that he drugged her and raped her then she killed him. Do you think she is really being truthful about killing him out of self defense or you think she is lying to get out of jail? In the news it said she killed him in her sleep but she’s saying she killed him out of self defense. What do you think?

She's a woman. You got about a 50/50 shot she's telling the truth. If she's a known liar then you have a considerably less shot.

I think more than one woman has spoken out against him. I think while there are a lot of women who lie, what they lie about is very telling. Women do not accuse you of rape without reason. So if he scorned several women and she did murder him. Well his track records might allow her to get away with murder. But i'm not going to make a fulljudgenent either way. But like i say, multiple women spoke out against him. That's likely NOT a coincidence.

There will be entire criminal investigation with 1m thick folder of documentation.
It's a job of prosecutor to accuse a potential culprit, it's the job of defender to debunk those accusations. The judge or jury decides if the culprit is guilty or not. This is how civil law works.

without more details on the case i can't really give a good answer. The fact that there are others coming forward saying he stalked and harassed them leans more toward she's telling the truth. But without a full investigation and a decision by the jury of her peers i cannot say weather or not she is telling the truth.

No one can say if she's innocent or not, only the investigators are able to give a conclusive answer after gathering the evidence and interrogating the witnesses...

Not enough information to make a judgement call. The court of public opinion does not count as justice and should not be listened to. Wait till all the info is given, and even then, the court of public opinion should be discounted
