So my girlfriend confided in me about something that happened before we got together, she won't go to the police, has no evidence it happened, deleted all messages relating to the perpetrator.
Some of the story she has told me doesn't add up with what she's said at the time and what she's told me since and she had changed the story a bit at times.
She won't talk to me about it as it is too traumatic but I dont know whether i believe it or not as she has apparently lied about this sort of stuff before, and i can see reasons that she would say it was assault rather than admit that it were consensual, as it involves the at the time boyfriend of her sister and was during her being in a committed relationship.
Can someone advise on whether or not they think it's true? Happy to discuss in more detail if needed.

By story things not adding up I mean like her telling me he grabbed her while she was getting her shoes on to leave and assaulted her in the doggy position. But more recently told me she doesn't like doing stuff while spooning because that's the position he assaulted her in. So kind of confused me as to how it could be both, or how she could have been lying sideways in bed spooning while getting her shoes on?
