My family traces to Northern Ireland… castles and all. I traced it with DNA and was surprised because I thought we came from near Cork, Monkstown, but that was only after they left the north. From Cork they came to the US.

My family is well documented little known to me for most of my life. I knew of a US adoption 100 years ago that changed my last name and I knew of the last name but not the history. DNA told that story coupled with documented family history.

So for about 2,000 years at least my family was from Northern Ireland and I have been all over the world including 7 continents , my DNA sent to the moon and upcoming over 60 countries visited but not Ireland. I must make time for it.

I recently visited Belfast Northern Ireland. People are very nice, and there's a lot of history. I signed the Dividing Wall that still separates Catholics and Protestants, which is a sad situation.

I do not know if I admire it if I have never been. Some of the pics I have seen show it to be beautiful with some great history
