I was listening to a podcast which suggested China would probably use paratroopers initially on Taiwan then use amphibious landings.

It is an obvious thought to think why not laser paratroopers as they float down? Below this laser is a flat plain. Why not pick off enemy paratroopers on the plain as well?

According to Google a 10 KW laser can kill a person and fully option this bad boy is 15 times higher. It probably doesn't pro rata but that could be 15x30 = 450 soldiers per minute. Useful.

Also according to Google, 5 mW permanently blinds people. 5mW/150KW = 30 micro seconds per shot. Your ability to disable enemy troops is only limited by how fast you can point the laser at the paratroopers eyes because it would blind them very quickly.

The key point is a purely defensive drone laser could be an extremely good offensive weapon.

I imagine if a laser is to kill an enemy combatant it will have to burn a hole into the heart, lung or brain. That could hurt. To blind probably hurts less but it leaves the enemy combatant permanently incapacitated.

I'm interested on what people think the ethics of Direct Energy Weapons fire on people are. I think if it can be done it will be done especially when it is an existential threat.

They don't benefit from paying Taxes as they will never collect Social Security as a non resident. Not only that but The IRS is turning over all their info to ICE so they can track down non residents. Why would you pay for the Gov't to track you , put your head through a car window, Body slam you to ground and then ship you to a foreign country?

I remember a time when the news was too boring to watch. now it's like a reality show or a talk show with an agenda. it's grown into networks greed for money and salaciousness to drive revenue. it is primarily funded by a nonprofit organization called CPB (corporate public broadcasting) which gets federal funds and then disperses them to the stations. The CPB was formed by LBJ. and if LBJ did it, then that should tell you something about who has been in control of the news stations for 55 years! the same exact people in control of it now, only they don't rely on federal funding anymore (since July). That's when NPR and PBS went down basically. so the stations that were established like CNN, FOX, ABC, CBS were grown by the same funding as PBS and NPR. when trump signed that bill this year, he killed any hope of successful truthful unbiased news.

So the vote in Senate is 67 for Impeachemt and 33 against. Then what happens?

This would destroy Trump. He won't get to see his Ballroom completed or even use it. He wants to be President more than anything in life. He can't set higher Tariffs to punish countries that don't agree with him any longer. He won't have influence in future elections because no Republican will want to be seen with him. He will have to put his Presidential Library on the Plane he was bribed with for favorable treatment because no State will want to be home to his Library. He will just have to fly state to state. No more free Mcdonalds. He will have to move his Walk of Fame Star because it will be damaged on a regular basis. He can't golf in public now because of Jeers. No more MMA or events. No Nobel Peace Prize! He might even have to move to Scotland and leave US because of criminal charges and prosecution.

But before the Fall Out of Impeachment what will he do. ?

Deny the vote , Call it Fake News , Call for riots at the Capital, Try to get his die hard bat crazy followers to physically hurt those who voted for Impeachement, Chain himself to white House desk? Could he even cause a Constitutional crisis by pardoning himself and refusing to leave. Again folks it is all about what Trump wants , what's best for him, not you or the country.

In the end won't Trump end up destroying everything he worked for in life. Apprentice Shows, his first term, his businesses, his family name, his reputation, fame, and his Soul. He will be a bitter man for the rest of his life.
