if oil was a lobby it would be in the top 10 most powerful lobbies in america. can you believe that a realtor lobby is the most powerful? that explains the housing crisis. big pharma too! and the U. S. Chamber of Commerce is about as powerful as the realtors. they fight for the big business.

oil was #6 in 2024. if the U. S. goes to Venezuela it's because that oil is an "American interest". to get that oil we have to overthrow them. it will be called a "regime change". this is exactly what israel wanted us to do with iran. it was illegal as hell and we almost did it anyway! trump basically implied that if Ayatollah Ali Khamenei didn't do as he wanted he would let israel assassinate him.

but there is a bigger agenda here! and this is the most important thing to take from my response. this is an operation that serves a hidden agenda for israel. if they can make trump look just as bad as Netanyahu, then they have accomplished their goal. israel is fighting the biggest propoganda campaign of their lives right now. trump is a willing participant. he has nothing to lose.

but the bottom line is americans are nothing like the israelis/jews/zionists/occupiers, whatever you want to call them. they support their genocidal government and we don't support war of any kind unless it is necessary. this became obvious to the israeli gov't. when they kept attacking and lost support. (there's more truth behind this but w/e). the israelis had American support to retaliate, but they flew way past 10x greater upon our enemy!

that's the campaign for them. this is probably their entire plan to gain American people's trust back. it won't work. instead they've alienated themselves from the world and people can see right through all the b. s. schemes.

The US does not want to invade Venezuela. It wants to stop the flow of drugs to the US. That might require boots on the ground for a few targeted raids at drug production facilities, similar to what has been done in Mexico. Gotta break the drug cartels, and the best place to do that is at its source.

Venezuela sold their oil infrastructure to China. US can't allow that.
This is a conflict that can easily transform in a bigger proxy conflict with direct participation of US in same way like Russia tried to conquer Ukraine.
Land based DF-17 has very good chance to hit a carrier with a single missile, why shouldn't China sell it to Venezuela, when US sold HIMARS to Ukraine.

I'm going to go with precious metals and Trump's insanity as being the primary reasons. I don't think oil is as essential as it was, say, 20 years ago. On the other hand, Venezuela has more oil than any other country in the Western Hemisphere, so to that extent it may actually be important. After all, even if it's not all that important, it has performative value, which Trump values greatly. He keeps having to prove over and over again that he's not gay.
