Search Results: approaching someone at the gym

Now, I saw this as a large woman who has lost over 150 lbs so far and am still perceived to be rather 'fat' by most standards, even though I'm the healthiest I've ever been. Someone approached me in the gym today and said something ridiculous. She said, "You're so inspiring to me. I've seen you here often and every time I see you, I work harder because I don't ever want get as large as you." I just glared at her and said, "Do me a favor, huh? Think about what you just said."

So, here's the deal... I'm curious what people are thinking to themselves as they work out at a gym... or even if they see someone out hiking or something that is clearly overweight. I've endured all kinds of ridiculous taunts from people, including comments that are passive aggressive -- especially the diet/eating plan stuff. Really, people... I don't want to hear about your new, fabulous paleo, vegan, gluten free, cabbage water diet. Unsolicited diet advice is almost as pad as that taunting and name calling -- especially since nobody knows my health issues or that I'm on a very regimented, doctor supervised diet that is working quite well, thanks. :)
