Most people experience fear. However different people express it differently. Even most people who express no fear, aren't really fearless. They just know how to suppress it, or not express it. If course, I think that there is a small minority of people who genuinely never real fear, or hide it so well, they seem genuinely fearless.

There is a clear difference between adults and children when it comes to experience and expression of fear. However, what about the difference between men and women?

I think that both men and women experience fear, possibly at similar rates. It's just pure soeculation from my end, but I think with there being more equality in certain societies, the experiences of men and women converge at least a little, and therefore fears also converge.

HOWEVER

I think that women express fear more primarily because women are encouraged to express their feelings more, and fear is one of these feelings. There may also be a biological reason, as women in average tend to be more emotional than men do to a higher estrogen-to-androgen hormone ratio (which also explains mood swings during pregnancy). I don't really know about that; maybe an expert in behavior or endocrinology could enlighten me on this).

Bottom line, I think men and women experience fear at a close rate, but I'm not sure. However, women express it more.

That has nothing to do with who is better. Bravery is not gender-exclusive.

Personally I think it's men, who fall harder in love and here is why:
Men are taught to repress their feelings, be stoic, apathetic, tough and emotionless. But once they get to experience those intense feelings of loving (a woman), then they are especially sensitive to it since they rarely got to experience and express emotions at all without any former tolerance level whatsoever. More so since love creates this weakness spot in men for love and women and being weak is the last thing, that men want to be. But they cannot close it because love renders them weak in that regard until the pain is too much to handle and break up.

Thus love is like igniting a match and throwing that lit match to a pool of liquid gas and fire up the feelings, that cannot be extinguished anymore.
