I'm dating a girl (I've been in love with her for a while) and we've only been technically dating for a few weeks. Been on like four dates but we've known each other for a year now. So I didn't want to do too much for Valentine's Day since we're a relatively new couple.

So I went to local flower shop and spent a while customizing a small flower arrangement with the owner (I'm not exactly great with flowers haha). Nothing huge. And then I went online and found someone on Etsy who can make stuffed bears with anyone's name on it. (shoutout to SouthernMissBows there. Check her out! Her work is amazing!) So I got a small ~5 inch white stuffed bear with her name on it.

Now I wasn't sure if that was good. I thought it was and frankly, I didn't nor could I afford like anything too extravagant. This is my and her first Valentine's Day period and I was afraid of doing the cliche "flowers and chocolate" thing. I like making things special and unique. For instance, for Christmas, I got her an autograph of her favorite author. And for her birthday I drew her something (I'm an artist). I didn't know if this was too generic so I got the name on the bear. I thought that was good but I wanted to get a standard of gifts for the holiday to make sure. I also didn't want to go too big and overwhelm her because it is our first Valentine's Day as I said, and she is super shy.

So what are your thoughts anybody?

Okay, I never do stuff like this, but I've seen plenty of posts recently asking stuff like "are men really inferior to women?", "who is the more superior sex?", etc., and quite frankly, I'm tired of it.

So who here appreciates and respects the opposite sex? Women, who among you doesn't believe that men are stupid and useless? Men, who here doesn't believe that women only want to marry and promptly divorce us for the money?

Who here does not believe that one sex is superior to the other and that each has their own unique gifts to offer each other?

Do I dare ask you to keep it civil, as I usually do?

Hey ladies I am just looking for your input here. I have been dating a girl that I really like and things are going extremely well and I am going to ask her if she wants to be my GF. Which I am positive she wants to, but I would like to buy her something to start the relationship out.

I know that generally things like anniversaries and whatnot are the usual things to celebrate and buy gifts for, but I feel as though the start to new beginnings is often over-looked and I want to get her a little something to express my feelings on beginning a relationship with her..

And so I like to get gifts that are original/unique especially in this situation.. I am just a little weary of buying things like jewelry because I don't want her to feel pressured to wear it if she doesn't want to/doesn't like it etc.. It'd be great if she loved it so much that she wore it, but I am perfectly OK if she just hangs it up or something somewhere. But still I am weary that she will feel pressured to so I don't know this is where you come in...

I found this reeeeally awesome site that has authentic jewelry hand-made in New Zealand. And each pendant has different meanings and they are unique. I am looking for something subtle but still really cool/pretty. I have picked one out and so I would really appreciate your feedback on it and also any other ones on the site that you might think would be fitting. I really like this woman. I wanted so long to tell her how I feel. I had flowers and a nice gift for her. When I stopped being so nervous about it and just said I will ask if I can get to know her... she was gone... she didn't work there anymore so I knew her 1st name and we had only 2 brief conversations but I could feel something was there... it was very unique ( the feeling and her name).
