My boyfriend and I've been dating for slightly over 3 months now and that topic hasn't been covered. We've talked about our goals for this year and next year, handling the bills when going out, our daily routines, housing and our plans to progress the relationship at a quicker pace due to our ages. We're dating with intention.

The only thing he knows about my past is I haven't been in a real relationship for a long time and I was busy with other things in my life. His answer that similar too; he's been single for 7 years and the pandemic made things harder. We haven't digged into too much about our past relationship (s).

I only had one past boyfriend and he was a negative experience. He's been blocked and I don't even want to mention his name. In a relationship are you suppose to mention about your past relationship (s) or not say anything if they don't even ask you about it? He hasn't asked.

After so many obstacles and sadness, I got something I wanted. Something I was going crazy about. Something I prayed for almost 6 months. That happiness lasted for exactly 6 hours when it should last for a lifetime.
I think I used up all my happy card on that and now all I have waiting are sad stuff. All of my goals just vanished. I feel like it's over. I am just existing and stressing out about the upcoming sadness
Maybe if I didn't get what I wanted, things wouldn't have been so complex

My brother used to live within a 2 day drive which allowed me and the family to visit him and my nephews at least 2x a year. Then he moved clear across the country near ZERO family, so the only way I can see them, is if I fork over a ton of money and fly. I am on a life goals plan that requires a lot of saving and sacrifice, especially after my business took a deep hit during the brunt of Covid. As a result of that, its been non stop work all hours of the day and night because with the online business, it never sleeps.

Like most people in this situation burning the candle at both ends, I need a vacation, but my brother has been asking me to come visit them and laying on the guilt trip. Aside from the money issue, because they have had no babysitters or family coming regularly because of the distance, whenever I have come, I have become defacto babysitter every single time. I don't want to spend what may be my one vacation having to look after 2 young screaming crying kids. Love them, but young kids are exhausting, and I need a true vacation for my sanity and they consider me visiting them, free babysitting because they don't get time off either without the kids. Am I being selfish for not wanting to go?
