Trending & News If I had one piece of advice for you Genie it's one that was told to me at your age. It was "Nobody is going to ask where you started just where you finished". Life is a journey. Don't get so caught in where you're at. Just stay focused on making your life better.
Last year was probably the worst year of my life. I broke both feet, caught covid, ended up in the ICU, then spent a month in the hospital, was discharged to a nursing home to continue my rehab (that made me feel old I was 30 years. Younger then the avg. Person there lol). Then after i was discharged from there I was fired from my job (my health was a liability to them so they were looking for a reason to get me off their payroll).
So at the moment I'm in a temporary retirement. Or at least that's what I'm calling it. I've spent the last 25 years. Working hard, living below my means, and investing heavily so I can afford it. But I wasn't very happy at my job. And it doesn't matter how well you're paid if you're unhappy so I consider it a positive thing. I consider myself truly blessed. And even after last year I can say I'm happier right now then I've ever been in my life and I look forward to the next chapter.
Yes I am content... but not satisfied. I can always do better. I'll be satisfied when I'm dead lol.
I really needed to hear that. I really needed an advice. So, thank you so much!
Woah... I can't imagine how much pain and difficulty you've experienced last year. :-/ I'm so sorry to hear that... But I'm glad to see you're happy now!! You deserve some rest after working so hard all these years and after dealing with an awful year. I'm happy for you!
Lol. In that case being content is enough, you don't need to be satisfied. 😐🤣
I'm k
I’m pretty content. I have a great job, a good place to live, and I’m healthy/don’t have any big vices weighing me down. My paycheck is clearly more than I need for a base living, so money isn’t an issue— benefits of software development 🙂. Sure, there are things I could always improve (e. g. developing more of a social life, home life improvements), but I’m pretty happy with my life otherwise. Likewise, I know that the only things currently preventing me from doing my life improvements are either time (aka saving up money) or motivation (aka pushing myself to meet new people). It’s something with a clear solution, so it doesn’t cause me much anxiety.
Nope. I was, but thanks to Covid I'm now unemployed and unable to find a job. I'm a IT Technician by trade (I also worked in PC repair stores too) but no matter what all my attempts have failed, nobody responds to my emails and the few interviews I did have flopped so yeah things ain't going too good right now, lucky I have my partner to keep us going steady but I'd rather he wasn't the only one contributing :(
a simple answe is yes…
i have everything I need and more for now and for the future.
I have friends, family. I am content and grateful. Or lucky not sure

For the most part yes but I feel lonely to the point that I am not sure if love really exists , most people today are selfish and only really care about themselves , when you finally meet someone you give your heart to , it gets shit on , so you ask yourself what is really the point of loving someone that can’t really love you back? We all want to feel loved and wanted But in most cases it’s a temporary thing , people get bored and think grass is greener on the other side
I would say, yes... for the most part there's peace of mind, and I'm healthy enough... but is all an ongoing and work-on process, to keep it that way and to find some balance
looking forward for more things to come, and working for it, of course...
getting a bit better, yes... work has been quite demanding last two years due to the situation we all know about, but is a matter of time now, for things to adjust little by little
wishing you the best as well, patience is key as well, when and with the things that are worth
gladly (=
I'm at point in life, where I'm no longer sure that whether I'm satisfied or not. It's been quite a journey to reach here. Sometimes it feels right that, it's better than few years back, other days it feels like I've wasted a lot of potential in few years. I would say it just depends on the mood. Truly each day I'm trying to be better at stuff I was not, like physical fitness or being at peace with oneself.
Cheers to life!
Thank you😁
I wouldn't say I'm content. I've just accepted where I'm at, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. I have a difficult time not thinking about where I might be if I had done x instead of y. And I have a difficult time seeing it improve in any meaningful way in the future.
It might. It might not. I'd say my life has gotten progressively worse over the years. I had my shots but couldn't take them for whatever reason. I tend to live my life looking through the rear-view mirror. I seldom see what's in front of me. It's only after it's passed me that I finally recognize it. But by then it's too late.
Trust me. I feel the same. My life got worse rather than get better even though I tried hard a d sometimes I did get opportunities but I ended up making wrong decisions. I know what you mean when you said, "... But by then it's too late" I understand the feeling of hopeless, sadness and frustration very well. But trust me, rather than giving up on trying and thinking that your life will always remain this bad, it would be better if you try to change your perspective and try to be more optimistic. Don't give up on trying. Just keep trying until you achieve. I'll die trying rather than feel all those emotions again that I felt all these years.
Things have been rough for me for the past 2 years (even before the pandemic hit). But I just remind myself that we all go through difficult times in life; but it doesn't last.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/pZ_Bnu_RbQMI'm not big on Country but this song hits where it matters.
Not at all. Only thing I love right now is my job teaching. But being forever alone due to being too short/unattractive sucks. I'm missing love/relationships in my life, but there's nothing I can do about it.
Nope, not at all. I'm still trying to get my life together. Still need to get my license, go to school, get a good paying job, etc. Right now, I'm just a loser.
You're not a loser. You have a long life ahead of you. You're still very young. I'm sure you can achieve all those things. You're on your way
Aw, thank you for the encouragement <3
You're most welcome, girl <3
Not content with my life I want to move someplace else but do it alone but not with a relative I just can't live with this person
I'm so sorry to hear that. I really hope you get to move somewhere else soon. In a lovely home and in a good neighbourhood!!
Not really. I excel at my job and have become severely OCD due to boredom stemming from me being lonely due to lack of trust or belief because of some women from my past.
im content with who i am. Im more confident in myself mow then ever before. I have a purpose that i now strive for.
materially though i wish i had more money. Working on that one right now
I dm’d you :p <3
yes I am content and happy,
1/ I have a wonderful husband
2/ my sex life is great
3/ my social life is the tops
4/ we both love cruising
5/ no money worries
I am. I would just like to make a couple of friends to hang out with.
I understand but it's not impossible. My father is 69, when he thought about moving to a new place, he thought he'd be lonely in that area as he thought people can't make friends easily after a certain age, but then he did move and ended up making some new friends. But then again you need to hangout at the places where there are people who doesn't mind talking to new people and becoming friends with. Like parks for example.
Not really. But I can't complain. I'm not a woman living in Afghanistan, so in comparison, I guess my life is great. However, I'm not feeling it right now lol.
Not quite. Until I'm married to the love of my life, I won't be. I'm sure there are other factors, too, but that's the primary one.
50/50 most part don’t wanna get to comfortable then become Then take things for granted. I wanna get better.
My life is so much better than couple of years ago
but I do need to work on being more present and grateful and prioritization
Pretty content, tho it could be better, than it could be worse.
Not for a while
Honestly it’s mostly due to not even knowing where what I want to do with it. Was off to a good start in my dream career, making lots of money, living where I’d wanted to be since I was a kid and hated every second of it. Don’t really know what to do next
Nah, and only goal I strive for is to reach about 30ish and then die from bad health or heart attack or something... I have no other goals in life, nothing interests me, jus wanna sleep for a lonnggg time... That's the only thing that's fun to me
To an extent. I know things will fall in place so generally im haopy.
It's fine. More money in retirement would be nice, but it's never enough.
This type of feelings come and go for me. Now, I don’t have any complains. My life is better than the past because of my friend.
I really need an opinion about things but I won’t ask any questions on my profile about this but can talk to a trustworthy person in private message. 🫂
I'm content today. I need to make some big changes. Changes that I'm not willing to right now even though I know it will put me in a better place.
Not yet but I’m hoping this year I would be achieving some of my dreams and finally be somewhat content.
I struggling with procrastination and I’m pissed with myself for continuing with it.
Content with life not content with the world and the people in it
The best way to be happy and content in life is find Jesus and your Saviour abd then serve him all days all situations are fine just live
Somewhat yes. But I’m working on it
Thank you
Pretty much, yes. It's always a work in progress.
Sorry, not an answer but I wanted to tell you I think you are very attractive
Which lamp do I have to rub to call this Genie?
Content, yes. I am grateful for what I have.
nope. Thats why I keep striving for more
Yes I love my life now.
I take life one day at a time
I'm content, but only because I know nothing will change for me and I'll die on my 35th birthday.
What do you mean you will die on your 35th birthday?
@Jamie78392 Its just the way things are meant to play out.
No, I am not.
I'm not
I am not content on both personal and professional front but I am working towards getting there.
Not at all I hate it
lol I wouldn't bother you with my sad story but thanks
Dude. I kinda know you for almost 2 years. You cannot bother me or bore me. Sometimes we can't see the solution or way out until we hear it from someone else. That's what I meant, that if you can't hate it and don't know how to make it better, you could always reach your friends or me. If you don't wanna share that's fine, too, but just keep trying to change certain things that you hate.
Really thank you for advice ☺️🙏
You are such a good person
It's actually my own incompetence than I am not able to improve.
Yes I'm
complicated lol
Yep.
I am so far from it
