adhd/add have common symptoms such as not being able to pay attention in class as a teen, being disorganized, and whatever. but I don’t present those symptoms as well as some others. but i do present with the ability to get off task and be distracted with an inability to focus at times i do not have distractions as well as when i do this happens in conversation as well. i do present some odc tendencies. a big one being just getting lost in intrusive thoughte that comes to mind usually contributing to the distracted tendency. another being my need for perfectionism in my education, im the last to leave a test. im also extremely clean and organized, although maybe not to an ocd degree but not consistent with adhd/add. that more coming from a discomfort with disorder and lack of cleanliness. so im trying to figure out a course of action to become more focused so i can optimize my studying, I've limited all distractions, I've set up a good enviornment to focus. so im curious as to which i make present more or neither to be able to research and help myself.

Hello GAG Team!

Question's in the title! I've been on a couple dates with this woman. She's a couple years younger than me. Fun, free-spirited, and just my kinda girl personality wise (I'd give her a reward for most beautiful eyes and smile in Canada, could light up room).

My only points of apprehension at this point are that she doesn't have any formal education (past HS), and at current, doesn't have a job (and is only interested in working part-time currently).

I work full time in a corporate career, and am a full time student trying to complete my degree so I can advance in that career. My fear is that this difference in perceived motivation may become an issue down the line. She doesn't do much while she has been unemployed (from what she has explained to me... though, she is trying to find part-time work), but takes great care of her pet dog (which signals to me she may be good at looking after a family in the same way).

I'm wanting to start to settle down (in my own life), and look to build a meaningful relationship and ideally a family in the future (she says she is looking for the same).

So, all that being said girls and guys, what do you think? Would you pursue the relationship, or do you think the potential lack of perceived motivation will be an issue down the line?
