Why a 4 Year College Degree Isn’t Right for Everyone, and Why That’s a Good Thing!!

If your child’s high school career did not result in them wanting more sitting in a classroom and learning from books, it’s often doubtful that college will change that They will also be uncomfortable sitting behind a desk all day in many cases.

We tend to think college equals success, and it does for many who strive to actively learn in this environment but it isn’t for everyone.

The fact is that these days, a college degree does not serve a purpose for some people and is robbing them of 4 productive years in which they could be learning a trade

We all have different needs and ways to contribute.

For me, I was able to decide my own courses after finishing my prereq’s. But the entry Bio class that was required was a nightmare.

Imagine that being every class?

Then there are people who love working with their hands and learn quickly and make good money as a welder or mechanic in aviation. These take a more vocational job training but they make good money and feel a sense of accomplishment when done.
