I am thinking of sending this letter to a girl whom I haven't spoken to in 3 months. We stopped talking because I was going through some shit and was very anxious and lonely and she said I messaged her waay too much. Even after three months losing touch with her really hurts; she is still friends on facebook but I didn't wanna just send another message. I thought a handwritten note might go down better?

"I apologise for writing to you unexpectedly. I just wanted to thank you for your excellent piece of advice you once gave me regarding friends. Following this advice I got rid of some people who didn't deserve to be called friends and re-connected with some old friends and I am a lot happier and less anxious now. So thanks for the wise words!

I still deeply regret the way things were left between us and it saddens me to this day. Losing someone you considered to be a friend is one of the most painful experiences in life. I realise it was my own anxiety and worry that made you cut contact between us and therefore I only have myself to blame. I tried too hard to force a connection too quickly as I wanted to be as good a friend to you as you had been to me. You were the only person who did things with me back then without taking andvantage of me; you always treated me well and that meant a lot. I would dearly like to put things right between us as I did regard you as a good friend and I have happy memories of spending time with you. Could we maybe meet for lunch or something and catch up. Perhaps you would at least consider it? there is absolutely no pressure though."
