do you think the guy or the girl does more in a relationship?

I've read on this website that many guys think girls don't bring anything into a relationship but some times I feel like the girl brings more to the relationship and puts more effort into it than the guy. Is this true?

The girl does all the planning, does all the buying, the cooking, cleaning etc (especially if you are married), she takes care of the finances and the kids.

The guy maybe works (unless the girl has a full time job already, they the guy doesn't work at all some times), and then all he does is watch movies or plays video games all day. It's like he does nothing but criticize the woman, and does nothing but want to sit down all day eat and play video games. While the girl is cleaning the whole house, making all the food, and also buying all the groceries, and making sure all the finances are taken cared of.

so what do you think? Most of my friends and my family members seem to think like I do, that the woman seems to be the one doing most of it in the relationship. The woman wants to spend quality time together, she wants to go out and do fun things, she wants to have quality intimate talks, she makes things romantic (romantic settings, wine, good food), while the guy just wants to sit and play video games. He could care less if they spend time together some times.
