I mean:

- People with medical issues had struggle finding their medication. That is millions of people.
-Lots of people couldn't get checked, so many medical issues that could have been dicovered and treated, may be discovered when it's too late, especially if the goverments act the same in the autumn, when a lockdown would have to last for more than 1-2 months. That could amount to hundreds of thousands - millions.
-More millions of people risk starving to death. You may get help from the goverment, but a lot of the things you buy are made in poor countries. If you don't buy as much many companies will have to reduce their activity, so many of those people may lose their jobs and not get help like you do.
-Many small businesses may be unable to start again.
-Gyms were closed and may close again which will lead to a lot of people not being as physically active and their immunity will decrese as a result.
-Mask may cause more problems during summer as people can die from heat as well and masks will make you retain more heat.

Not saying that we should completely neglect it, but overall what is going as a result of the lockdown looks worse than the virus to me, especially if at a second wave they plan on doing the same things.

I'm a 24 yr old premed applying to med school this year, entering school in Fall 2021. I have 14 months of 'freedom' left. Long story short, I've read that female docs have difficulty marrying if they wait til after school to prioritize relationships. What is the best way to about finding a long-term bf/fiance? Another goal of mine is to learn about investing in stocks, and become a content creator, and I also really want to get a job after COVID, to save as much as I can to invest into index funds. I have 0 debt from undergrad, and may graduate med school debt-free (if I get into my state school). I'm trying to learn about finance now so I can set up my future financial security. I also think now is an ideal time to date. I hear all this stuff about how a women is most desirable in her 20s, xyz... I often get mistaken for a high schooler though, I look quite young for my age but still. I know fertility decreases as you age, etc. I read an article which featured comments from female physicians who regretted waiting so long to prioritize relationships. I also read articles stating that men don't want someone who makes more, so my hope is that I can find a man that makes a good amount, because I won't be having any income in med school, or residency (50k before tax, I think), so hopefully even though I'll eventually make 6 figures, he won't be scared off. Oh, I should probably add that I'm an abstinent Christian who doesn't believe in cohabitation. So the 'stakes' are higher for me to choose the right person, because I won't get to see them 'at their worst' or 'in their natural habitat' before marriage. Any tips? Should I 'target' a 30 yr old, a 34 yr old? Should I try to just look for people my age? Where should I be meeting people who are looking for long-term relationships/marriage? And my church doesn't have eligible bachelors, it's family-dominated.
