2020 my year of different opinions

We all celebrated the breaking of 2020 with great expectations and planning. Just like we are different, our challenges and successes are different. 2020 will be a year to remember, because of the Coronavirus, so many plans were changed, so many businesses went down, though a few businesses like Amazon made profit during the lock down. Individually a lot of people lost their jobs, the economy of so many countries went down especially countries that depended on tourism like Greece, Italy, etc. The Airline industry was the worst affected with the furlough of many staff. But despite the disappointing news across some sectors, some people still benefited and may have a different story to tell. For me it will be too soon to place judgement on this year, as we still have about six more months to the end, despite my plans being affected I am still hopeful they are achievable. What is your assessment for this year?

Wow until I read your question, I hadn’t really realized the year is almost half over. How sad. I love concerts and most of the dozen concerts I already had tickets to have cancelled. The only thing to look forward to now is my bday in September in which a bunch of girlfriends and I planned to go on a cruise, I’m holding out a tiny bit of hope but I realistically know it will be cancelled. So much for turning half a century! But I try to stay positive... this won’t last. We will make it through and there are better times ahead. As far as the economy and businesses going under, although I’m sympathetic, it’s just natural economics... out with the old in with the new. Nothing stays the same. While sad, it’s a good thing in a way too.

Nice you still have some fun events left for the year.

I went sober for January, and played lots of pool and danced a lot in the clubs for February and the first half of March. I also started a new job in February. That's the good news.

Coronavirus is the ongoing bad news. Plus 2 of my favorite bars closed permanently in May 2020.

2019 was a rough year, especially starting in October, but I'd relive it in a heartbeat compared to 2020.
