A few nights ago, my crush hits me up and asked if I wanted to come out and eat. I agreed, and when he comes and picks me up, he ruffles my hair and asks me how I have been. Get to the restaurant, we ordered and while waiting for food, he held both my hands from across the table and said I can always come to him if I needed anything. He got teary eyed and because he is leaving for good next month, said he appreciated me. Said all that while looking in my eye, but he was drinking before we linked up and I don't know if I should take the things he said seriously.

So after the meal asked me if I wanted to go home, and I said sure. Then on our way home, he held out his hand, at first I was confused and gave him a high five sorta tap then he kept looking at my hand closest to his a he said "Give me your other hand", held it for a second until I said " Your hands are rough." so he goes, " A man's hands are always rough." then let go.

I though we were friends and now I am confused right now, why did he feel the need to open up and say all that? Why offer to hold my hands? What does it mean? I don't have much experience when it comes to dating so please any help will suffice.

PS: He texted me the next day saying he was wasted but he remembered what he told me. If that helps?
