There seem to be a lot of articles and, in particular, listicles floating around the internet these days about Introverts and, in response, some about Extroverts. That's great. I think it's good to know that there are many other people out there like yourself.

For me, though, I've found it kind of frustrating because I find myself nodding enthusiastically along with a list of things "only introverts will understand" only to come upon a few items that are not like me at all, and then doing the exact same thing with lists of things "only extroverts will understand". I'm a bit of both, and which side of my personality I lean more toward at any given time changes. It changes with the company I'm in. It changes with my moods. It changes with my level of energy.

It can be kind of frustrating being an ambivert because sometimes I'll make plans in advance that I'm suuuuper stoked about but when the time comes I just don't have it in me and would rather stay home. I also have a (mostly endearing) reputation among my close friends for ghosting at parties. I'll be the life of the party for most of the night and I'll suddenly just hit a wall and that's it, I'm done, and I make a quiet exit. I do this because I don't want anyone to try to talk me into staying up longer or continuing to socialise. I've hit my wall and I am done. So I ghost. My friends laugh about it, because they're used to it now.

My boyrfiend is an introvert through and through and most of my friends are extroverts. It provides me with a really great balance, I think. Before I met my boyfriend I had a really hard time accepting my introverted side and tended to force myself to be a lot more extroverted than I necessarily wanted to be.

I'm curious how many people here consider themselves introverts, extroverts or ambiverts. And for the ambiverts among us, is there a side you tend to lean more toward or does it change day by day like it does with me?
