I am applying to to a liberal arts college with only a 9% acceptance rate. It is one step lower than an ivy league, but still hard to get into. however, i'm applying ED, so I won't be competing against people applying to ivy leagues. the acceptance rate is 18-20%. The school places a ton of emphasis on leadership and is very business oriented.

Although my gpa is low (3.9 weighted), it increased significantly from 2.8 unweighted to 3.7 unweighted in junior yearat a competitive school, where I ended up getting summa cum laude. have an sat score of 1310. However, I've seen people with 3.3 unweighted gpas get in (they were pretty unique though, cause they had really good extra credits) Currently taking 5 APs and 1 honors class, and took 3 last year

On top of that, I have. several local medals from competing in figure skating. I also competeted in regional competitions and international competitions. I also was awarded in my skating club (50+ skaters?) for being the most accomplished at my club. been skating for over 11 years, four hours a day in the summer and 2 hours a day in the school year.
