I have read some opinions online that say that men and women shouldn’t shake hands because it is improper for a man to touch a woman he is not romantically involved in.

This is a radical opinion it seems but there is disagreement about the etiquette of men and women shaking hands.
Some say the man should wait for the women to extend her hand for a handshake, and some say it doesn’t matter who extends their hand for a handshake.

I tend to agree it doesn’t matter because if a woman doesn’t know she is suppose to extend her hand to man who usually extends his hand to other men for handshakes she would think he is blowing her off or being disrespectful.
