Ok so hey guys I’m actually freaking out a bit here.

So I’m a pre-dental student. And in order to get into dental school, I need like 50 hours of shadowing another dentist/professional in the field.

So I was shadowing at this dental clinic, where they make the false teeth/implants. And the person I was shadowing was a man (in his 40’s).
So he basically handmakes the dental implants.

And so I was watching him do that, and to break the silence and be nice, I said “you’re really good with your hands.” Once I said that, he stopped what he was doing looked at me, and let out this laugh…

I came back home and told my sister about it and she said that what I said was actually sexual….. like it means you’re good with your hands when you touch my …. u know what 😭😭😭
I AM SO EBARAZSED RIGHT NOW. I have to go back to the clinic next week and I don’t know how I am even going to look at him….

So do you guys thing it was very wrong and sexual to say that?
I didn’t even know 😭… now he’s gonna think I’m one of those girls..

You are WAY overthinking this and so is your sister.

Yes, maybe, possibly what you said could be construed as a little risque. It's not "very wrong" and I personally don't think it's sexual.

So, what do you do? You go back to the clinic, hold your head up high, do your hours and whatever it is you do. If YOU make it awkward, it will be. You said he laughed. That's good. Just let it end there.
