Guy's Behavior

There is this guy whom my best friend introduced me to, and he made eye contact many times and when he was talking to my friend he kept looking at me (even when he was not talking to me, he touched me (my lower back, he touched my elbow), he would tell me “he trusts me to give him the directions” while my friend made us walk in a circle, he walks very close to me, our hands kind of touched, when my friend left I was expecting him to leave me at the same time because they were talking to eachother, and had the idea about how we stay with me until my ride comes and when I told him “thank you” he said he does not want me to get kidnapped since it was kind of late at night. Whenever I made jokes, he laughed with me , he would look at me and then smile on many occasions. And before I left, he asked me for my phone number (I didn’t expect that but I had a feeling based on how he had treated me and I thought that it would be unfair to my friend) and after we left he texted me twice and when I didn’t respond he texted me again “I hope you got home safe”. Does this mean he cares about me, just wants to be friends or has a crush on me?
