Search Results: trying too hard to get her back

I have been dating my boyfriend for about 2 years now. Around the 10 month mark of the relationship, I discovered that he hid something somewhat important to me about another girl because he didn't think it was important even though we saw her everyday. Following that, there have had been other issues of dishonesty and not being a good boyfriend like backing out of a plan we made the night before even though he didn't mind the whole week we planned it.

So, as one person does after he broke the camel's back, I told him that I am most likely going to break up with him or at least really considering it because he indirectly got smart with me when I asked if our photo album came in the mail. We texted for HOURS over the phone trying to discuss it and the whole time I'm mad because I am already mentally drained from the relationship.

The real thing it comes down to is if he's either willing to change for the sake of this relationship like being able to adapt/actually be with someone, or is he just keeping me around/being selfish. Last time we spoke this intensely was earlier this month and he promised to be more honest/open, yet all he was doing was continually giving me compliments for no reason every minute of the day. When I said that was too much, he used it against me saying it made him feel bad and will have a "hard time" being "open" again. He still gives me random compliments now as well even though he has never done that prior to that conversation really.

He does know that he is selfish sometimes since he stated it himself that I deserve better, but yet still promises change. I'm not sure what to do, what do you think?

The situation:
1.) When my car went bad in November she let me borrow her car. Out of respect and appreciation I took good care of her car filled the tank etc.

2.) We hadn't talked since December 10th because I informed ill be getting my new car and for her to not let her dog loose on my car like she did last time because the dog scratched it. So apparently she must've got an attitude because she never responded back to the text and didn't speak to me since

3.) Now in February she pops back up trying to be all friendly. She's had a fallen out with everyone in the apartment complex. Anyways, she started blowing up for phone two days ago 4x. The day after that the minute I get home apparently she sees my car abd light on she calls again I ignore her. Then she text me asking if I got her text messages yesterday I ignored.

I don't want to be bothered with her. why pop up 2 months later trying to be cool again? She seems childish
