When Jack was 23 and found out that Kai tried to kill himself due to being bullied in school. Jack didn't travel back home until he was done with his exams. When he got there he told Kai what an amazing person he is, showed him examples of people with disabilities who did great things, and how he was too young to throw his life away.

Kai is 25 years old. His ex-girlfriend Luna is 23. Luna broke up with Kai due to Kai sexual assaulting her, and his questionable relationship with his younger sister. (sharing bed with her, sharing a journal with her)

At this time, Kai lost his job due to sharing personal account details to other people. Kai tried to kill himself, but Luna stopped him. She ends up falling off of the balcony upstairs and falling into a coma. At the hospital, Luna's father Quan grabbed Kai, punched him in the nose, slapped him, threw him at the wall and called him a long list of nasty words. Kai held his nose as blood fell down his face. Quan screamed at him to speak, he grabbed for his notebook, Quan picked it up and threw it. He kicked Kai in the stomach and screamed at him its all his fault if she dies and what a selfish person he is.
