There's reason to believe that IF Jesus was really born by a virgin birth - parthenogenesis, which is a thing in the animal kingdom - Jesus would've been female, since the Y-chromosome - which creates maleness - is passed by the sperm, which would have not been present in the impregnation of Mary. Jesus would have feigned maleness due to the possibility of not being taken seriously otherwise.

Also, Julian of Norwich, who is recognized as a saint in Catholicism, argued that God is both Mother and Father.

Monthly, women are exposed to the Source of Life, & reminded of their sacred status as the Vessels of Life. What could be closer to God than that?
