Misconception #1: MGTOW = VGTOW

People are very ignorant these days, saying "MGTOW is about losers who haven't gotten laid yet or a girlfriend/" Those (male or female) who say this are just downright pathetic and very "thick" in the head. Personally, I'm not a virgin. Just because I didn't have a proper relationship and I've had a few flings in high school doesn't mean I can't GET SEX! Can't get any and choose to not want any are pretty different things!

Misconception #2: A man who chooses the MGTOW lifestyle will be a very lonely and unsuccessful man

This is very false to say the least! I'm personally working at my own job, making $30 per hour for MYSELF, stashing it in the bank for MYSELF and NO WOMAN will EVER share MY OWN MONEY! If you want it, APPROACH ME!

In both your misconceptions, you use the word "I." "I'm not a virgin. I'm successful. I can get a woman, but I chose not to," but there are a vast number of guys, apparently, in MGTOW, so it's not really a misconception if it is true for others. It may be a misconception for you, as you are pointing out, but you can't speak for the other men in the group. You can't say the vast majority of members are this or that either without having empirical data. These are just your opinions or facts about yourself and there isn't a group alive on this planet that feels that one person and one person alone soley represents the group as a whole.

mgtow didn't start from these virgins as i heard from a pioneerin mgtow. these creeped in, in the movement later. initially it was frustrated divorced husbands etc that realised at some point they were manipulated and lived sad lives with women.
the question is if any of them did some introspection to question why they chose these particular women and what traits of their character allowed to be taken advantage of... .

Being a mgtow at age 20 or younger is the best than being a MGTOW at age 30 or older because you don't have to deal with marriage, commitment, exes and children! I'll add that MGTOW exists only due to the speed and anonymity of the internet. Were it not for those two things, any man foolish enough to talk MGTOW would be immediately banished socially and economically. Free speech is fine and dandy - so long as that speech doesn't put at risk the gynocracy's many privileges over the conveniently manufactured patriarchy. This is why, even now, in the 'age of equality', MGTOW is unheard of in public - and why women have ensured and continue to ensure the destruction of male-only spaces (fraternities).

It has long been socially 'troublesome' for men to want to remain bachelors - cause patriarchy - but men are still forbidden from pointing out male disposability and cultural misandry in the open. Anyone unwise/brave enough to do such a thing isn't a 'real man' and not worthy of female affection. Why? Pay-to-play. He'd be laughed at and shamed because everyone knows that "ALL Men Have All the POWER". If it doesn't fit the hyper gynocentric (feminist) notion of the 'evil patriarchy' - then it's not eligible for free speech - at least not without severe consequences, expulsion, social banishment and maybe a false accusation or two.

Even the LGBT crowd is getting in on the action - with their demonization of white cishet males. Time to 'man up', drop dead and hand the victim class your money - evil white cishets - unless of course we need you to die en masse in war to protect women's and LGBT rights!

With MGTOW will come an end to male-only conscription. Even now, fewer men are enlisting and those that do, in times of war, are prevented from leaving upon the end of their enlistment through 'stop loss' - which is simply forced-reenlistment in lieu of conscription. With the male exodus from the military - female conscription is now on the table - but should it come to pass - women will simply demand that their obsequious simps end conscription altogether - and those obsequious men will instantly comply - or simply continue with male-only conscription - cause (in) equality.

What really needs to happen is a couple of centuries of female-only conscription in reparation to the millions upon millions of men's lives sacrificed for women's rights. Funny thing identity politics. It's a two way street. Equality - who knew it was such a great thing for men? Down with the patriarchy. Feminism is good for men, too.

I fully expect the West to be overrun by Mexicans, Russians, Chinese and Muslims within the next quarter century.

I don't oppose frats because they're all male, and I'd like to keep them. Maybe eliminate the reckless drinking and drug use because no one wants to wake up and find out that one or more of the frat guys died from alcohol poisoning, drunk driving, or a drug overdose, but frats can be very good

True. Alcohol and drugs do lead to many horrific outcomes - some life ending - some life destroying. Tragic. Lord knows I've had my share of close calls. From what I've read - this trait is growing in the female population as well. Same with the female perpetrated crime rate - it keeps going up. With males however - I'm quite certain it's that extra 10X testosterone - giving them that sense of youthful invulnerability and higher risk tolerance. Don't know why women are drinking so much more now. Maybe it has something to do with a sense of liberation or the loosening of social mores. Can't really say what it was like in prior generations. I know that prohibition was a big thing long ago - so I'm guessing men have always acted in such a manner. I know I've slowed down considerably on that front with age. Probably due to a lessening of testosterone. Maybe estrogen has a quality about it that reduces women's enjoyment of alcohol, causing higher negative side effects.

How is this movement any different then the feminist that swear off men because of a few bad experiences? I would have sworn off all men too if I decided to base all men on the majority of my relationships. But I don't. I see people as an individual which is what your movement and the feminist movement have lost sight of. Imagine what this world would become if everyone decided to be only about themselves. I've spoken to many MGTOW. While they all insist that they have no trouble getting women and that they choose to avoid women, it's often clear that that's bullshit from talking to them and the things they say about women, especially when they show themselves. It's like "you can't fire me, I quit". If they really believe their own bullshit they're lying to themselves. Of course not all are like that, but the majority are.

As for happiness, all that I ever see mgtow do online is complain about women and the way things are. They don't seem to talk about much else.

I don't usually complain about women online, I am too busy making money for myself. If I do, it's usually something I observed outside of the online world and I didn't like it which means I'm triggered and need something or somewhere to vent! Men who complain the most is usually ex-white knights who tried their best to get the woman of their dreams but failed.

I think in a lot of movements you have to set aside the misconceptions and stereotypes, in nearly all movements, there are some who take it too far. Granted there are some movements just being in it is too far but MGTOW or Feminism are type of movements. Don't say anything too crazy to me and I will listen to your views, reflect on them.

there's also the option of someone of similar or greater wealth if the option comes around and you want to live together but it still involves trust ie not to trying to sue each other at great legal expense.
