So do you guys and gals think that intlligent people are often more depressed or sadder than the rest of the general population?

STORY: I just read about someone dealing with depression so I thought I'd ask a question about depression. I've always been your smarter kid, the one that figures out faster than most. Book work was about as good as dog crap in school. My mom at the time, when I was 9 years old or in 4th grade, took me to see why I was so upset all the time amung other things. At 9 years old I was diagnosed with a high level of anxiety and depression, just for shits and giggles I had my IQ tested which came out around 140. Thats great right? Thats one smart kid so my mom and doctor thought. Rather than just read books I needed to figure out how everything around me work and how everything goes together, I took my first computer apart when I was 7. It was so old it didn't even have windows 95 on it so weather or not I broke the thing didn't matter. This started to revolve around why people act a certain way or treat me the way they do good or bad. This started making me so sad it led to a long long history of depression from what I felt was falure. Lack of understanding and knowlege of how the world works is what led me to so much depression.

I am by no means a genious or all that smart, I have no motivation to take advantage of how easy I pick up and learn the things around me. I'm also no where near a prodigy like the kid that made me think about this, here's the article that I was reading.

I actually have been diagnosed with severe bipolar disorder when I was a small child but I think the doctors may have misdiagnosed my mental disorder because I feel that I have is much more than just BP disorder.

Whenever I log on here on GAG, I tend to forget many of the questions that I've asked, then took a look at all my questions which were all in different tones. Depending on my mood, I switch from a friendly guy to an intellectually neutral guy, to a baby boy with constant laughter thinking of his mommy, to a paranoid schizophrenic man, to a self-hating male, to a rageful and bitter misogynist (with some homicidal thoughts), to a racist (with some homicidal thoughts) and to a suicidal teen boy. All of these mood switches cause me to ask multiple offensive and controversial questions that gets my questions reported and banned, which is the reason why I always ask questions on Girlsaskguys anonymously so I don't suffer from possible cyberbullying.

There has been a few times where I've blacked out, had periods of lost time and switched personalities in real life (from what I've been told by a few friends) but LUCKILY, none of my real life personality switches were violent ones, plus I'm very subtle with my DID (people with dissociative disorders are nothing like Hollywood movies portray us). Still, I feel very ashamed of myself deliberately offending everyone here on GAG and now I think my personality is starting to switch to a suicidal boy because of my shameful mood. I just can never live a normal life with my mindset.
