Trust is an important thing for all of us, it builds friendships, relationships, business deals. You agree to licenses when purchasing houses or software. It may be put in contract. But there is still a reliance on trust. So what if its broken... shattered. Can it be completely regained?

Im not refering to small trust, like telling your child not to eat a cookie and they break it. In this instance im refering to relationships.

Many, many years back, almost 10 or more I think, my father cheated on my mother, had an affair with another woman and they split up, did not divorse but they werent together, was the toughest time in my life. I despised my father for what he had done and swore to never do it to others. My mothers heart was broken. Now in todays society its EASY to shout and scream and insult, its easy to tell someone "Dont forgive them, you are weak if you do!" Really weak? So this person who has been married for almost 20 years, and dated a few before that with their now husband is weak for not instantly being able to move on.

I say this because after about 5 months of the insident my parents got back together, my dad was remorseful and devastated in his choices, you could see it. Now it took years for me and my mom to fully trust him against, but I can say for a fact he has tried his best, does nobody deserve another chance, again its easy to accuse and claim he could again. Guess what, everyone could again, so could my mom, but they haven't. I still struggle with trust of my father, but I see the love he has for my mother, and im well aware of the stress they went through during that time. He didn't wake up and decide to do it. There were factors on both sides. Not blaming my mother, but there was a tension that broke, but now that tension is gone.

So back to my question, do you honestly deep down believe trust can never be regained, nobody wants to be betrayed, and those who do are the weak ones. Easy to hate, hard to forgive. What are your opinions?

Me and my ex boyfriend broke up 4 months ago (he ended it because we fight too much and he thinks im too demanding)
But we are still "friends" since he still contacts me every week (messages and calls me) and wants to hang out every week - he's always the one initiating everything

Last night my ex boyfriend called me and I exploded.

This was our conversation:
Me - i need to ask you questions, but first im gonna be honest, i feel awkward just us being friends, tell me the truth, do you see us in the future or you dont think we are right for each other?
Him - its not that, i really do want to be with you but the reason why i broke it off is because you are just too demanding, im pursuing my career as a police and im really serious about it so i can't give you full attention and a lot of time, i wish i could be with you, i really do but i just need time to do this on my own
Me - i just dont want to be played around or you putting me in the back burner. I rather move on and find someone else
Him - playing you around? Are you serious? How am i playing you around? Im not seeing other girls. Im not talking to other girls. Im focusing on myself. I've been single for a while now and if i wanted to flirt with other girls, I would have. But im not. Why do u think i message you and call you often? Why do u think i wanna hang out with you? Seriously, you always doubt me. You give up on me easily too.
Me - what if you find someone better? What if u meet someone in the police academy?
Him - omg no. If im in a commited relationship, i would not do that. And plus im not there to meet girls. You just dont understand me. Give me a chance to do finish this please. If I've already completed this, I would have never left you. You know what? Lets just meet in person this weekend and talk about it okay? Its better to talk about it when we see each other. Dont think about it too much for now okay?

Why does he want to talk bout this in person rather than just telling me on phone?

Why does he want to talk bout this in person?

I read an article about this man who loved being a childcare worker... Some of the parents said he touch their children inappropriately to get him to not watch over their kids anymore. Even though he didn't do anything (they thrown him under the bus because they weren't comfortable with a male watching over their kid)... Its discrimination against every male. Not all males are child molesters and etc.. and it definitely should be recognized. And most males can't work with children because of this, They aren't allowed to pursue there dream job..

Personally i would want someone i trust to be my babysitter and not a stranger. so i dont care what gender.
