How many of you women think you can go from bestfriend to dating?

My besty already knows I liked her at one time, talking go her tonight about dating advice with some other girl she said " you started losing weight when you fell in love with me", she also said "you life live in fear of uncertainty" (girl I'm sorta talking to has health issues and she's telling me not to worry about them).

I really dont want to loose her as a friend but that could just be me being a chicken, I think I should try.

She dosent think anything is wrong with me for being a 29 virgin either, she didn't like when I talked about being like the jerky guys that get laid tho.

Dosent like me trying so hard at the cost of changing myself.

I'd stay the current me for her.

She thinks I should wait for the right person at the right time, well I'm convinced she is the right person, whenever that time is.

So am I just stupid to try or is it worth a shot?

I'm 19, she's 20. She's not 100% black... her dad is white, but her mother is a 100% black African-American woman. However, her skin color is still very dark. Only slightly lighter than her mom's. Though she does have straight, very long hair... which is possible in black women, just uncommon.

We were already dating before I moved out of my parent's house. By now, we've been together for about 8 months.

8 months may not seem like a lot, but we've been together almost every day, several hours a day, so she's the person I love most in my life right now.

I love her because she's cute, outgoing, confident, kind, intelligent, athletic, sexy, seductive, laughs easily, and a great support system when I'm down.

About a week ago, there was gonna be dinner at my parent's house... I let her know my parents are incredibly racist once again, like I let her know less than a week into our dating. She said she's used to it though, won't take it to heart, and just wants to see what kind of people they are.

So I let her come along...

At first, me, her, and my parents got along just fine. For the first 20 minutes or so. But then they began making comments.

"She's just your friend right? I mean you couldn't possibly be dating a (n-word)."

"She looks more attractive than most (n-word), but her skin is too dark for her to be a real lady."

"You wouldn't do this to us. If I had (n-word) children, I'd commit suicide."

And I could notice my girlfriend getting increasingly more and more mad, though she just kept quiet.

But then, I snapped, "STOP THIS! SHE'S MY GIRLFRIEND, WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT! AND IF YOU'RE NOT GONNA LOVE HER LIKE A DAUGHTER, I DON'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOU BOTH ANYMORE!"

And my parents just sort of stopped talking, and my girlfriend smiled.

I don't regret this, and neither does my girlfriend, but do you think I maybe was too hard on them/went too far?

There's this girl who works in another department at the building I'm at. I see her most days, and we were aquatinted before I moved to that building since we share work.
Anyway, a few weeks ago, she, me and a few others were shooting the shit. She asked how old I was and if I was single and we shared some dating stories amongst the group. Me more than others, and she made a comment I'm way to nice to women.
She says hi everytime we see each other and we talk some days. She's told me she is single and she recently got out of a 5 year relationship, and she explained why they broke up.
Today, she was giving me a hard time cause I failed at scaring her when I came in, and then us and another co-worker were talking about houses and condos and stuff, and I brought up I was looking to buy a house, but when I talked about costs, I said I need a roommate. The guy said a roommate would be nice, and the girl said or a girlfriend!!!
We talked about some other shit, and at the end she said I reminded her of her ex. A really nice person, but kinda boring and unexciting, just like him. Also like him, I didn't drink, but he did after they started dating.
She made the comment that I need to be more exciting, like open the door for a gal and slap her ass as she walks through. I said I've done that with my ex's.

That's pretty much where it ended.
