I think my friends are a bit jelly about my relationships with guys because guys seem to treat me like I need to be protected from the world. (Not that i want or need it) Like a lot of affection, hugs, giving me their jackets if its cold even if i tell them it's fine or just you know being jealous if other guys are around me, most of which are what my friends want but can't get from their bf's.

They tell me that it's because of my physical appearance and shit. I'm 5'1" and been told i have a girly type of soft voice ( i dont know how to describe it) i try to look tough but noone seems to take me seriously. Is this why guys are more protective towards me? Or do they just want to get in my pants like my friends think?

So my parents are pretty protective. They ask me to text them when I get to places, let them know exactly where I'll be and who I'm with. I went out a few nights ago with some friends to a club and they let me go but my friends are going out again tonight and will be drinking so a few guy friends said that the girls and guys (we're all friends. Three girls, two guys) cod crash at their small frat house on the couch. It's summer so there would be only like 3 other guys at the house. My parents arnt allowing me to stay the night. He says as long as your in my care you won't be staying at someones house with guys, eveb though we would be in different rooms. My dad keeps saying how girls are gang rapped all the time.. though most girls who are were passed out drunk. And I told my dad that I would not be drinking at all, thus that shouldn't happen. Plus I trust the guys. Some of the most caring nice guys I've met. Anyway, do you think they are being unfair? I'm almost 20 years old but I do live at home so I feel like I need to follow their rules but then again I'm almost 20!! I am very mature for my ago and they say they trust me, I don't lie to them where I'm going or what I'm doing. I don't know I just feel suffocated at home because I feel like I can't do stuff with my friends. Or that if I want to hang with them, I don't know if my dad would allow it thus I feel suffocated in that I can't make my own decisions. You know? What do y'all think? When I went out the other night he didn't want me to go but said you're an adult so I can't say you can't go but then when I told him about this he said he won't allow it. ? Um what. That doesn't make sense am I right? K thanks guys.

I have feelings for my close friend, and during the summer he hasn't really been keen on hanging out with me or even having a conversation with me through text. I'm always initiating contact and I'm getting sick of it. We would text/hang out everyday last semester. Maybe he met someone. A bunch of guys have been asking me out, and I finally decided to give one of them a chance since I'm sick of being treated like I'm not desirable. We went out today. I'm kind of mad at my friend right now, and I plan on not responding the next time he texts me. Sometimes I feel like he's using me. Only wants to hang out when he says, calls me over to help him with homework or talk about his problems. Not really here for me in return. But then there're times when he's super protective and seems like he truly cares about me. When my parents visit (we have a house here which I live in while I go to college, so they come once in a while to deal with the gardening& stuff) he wants to dine with them & I. He gets jealous of my other male friends. He's so confusing, he gives me a headache. As I mentioned briefly, I went on a date today, and it went well. I have to figure things out with my friend before I get into a relationship though, because i don't want to lose him from my life. I'm not interested in the guy I went on a date with. At all. I'm just a bit tired of being single.
Guys on here/my best friend (who's a guy) have been telling me I should tell him how I feel before I see other guys, but I haven't because I'm scared af.
