Search Results: asking anonymous questions

We can block anon commenters ONLY if they comment on our own q or mytake.
We cannot block anon askers of qs, writers of mytakes, or commenters on other user's content.

Ex:
I do not want to block this person. (There's no reason to.) But I COULD because they commented on a q of mine:

But I SHOULD be able to block this person. Yet Block is NOT an option. Why?

The official response is this:

"If you don't want anonymous comments on your posts, do not anonymize your post and select "none" for anonymous opinions.

You can't block anonymous askers because we are a site built on allowing users to ask questions and we want users to be able to share with everyone on the site. There are a lot of anonymous askers who are not spammer/trolls but would still like your help/opinions.

You also have the option to remove their opinions from your posts using "I don't want to see this" or report them if they are harassing you/violating site rules."


BUT THIS DOES NOT ADDRESS THE ISSUE.

What's the difference between a commenter on our own topic, or comment, vs being a standalone comment, or asker?
Whether a comment is said directly to us, or it's a public question, posed to all, there is little difference, really. One is more personalized, yes, but so what?

And just to be clear, this is not about getting rid of the anon-asking capability. (I do think it's alright that it exists. Though I also know that it's very, very, very overused and should be limited on how many times it can be used daily/weekly/whatever.) This is about having the capability to block anons on a case-by-case basis. Not all, all the time. But one at a time, depending on what qs they ask, and comments they make.

This is the #1 problem I have with the site. Anon askers avoiding being blocked.

I see this as the only fair compromise.

So there's a site where you ask questions get answers. Many of them. This one site I had started to get suspicious this guy I liked was low key stalking me from it asking anonymous questions. (one reason being he would suddenly be only as soon as I got one at all hours. So could be 3am could be 7am could be 12pm hundreds of them lined up)
But so I got an question recently asking who I liked now this was a little weird because I think this past month was the first time I ever mentioned on my other social media I had a crush on anyone.
Anyway this person I don't think will ever make a first move on someone they really liked without proper reassurance they would not be rejected due to their own issues.
So I think barely anyone knows about this profile nor do I really care if they know?
So I figure I don't really have anything to lose admitting this thing that's been plaguing my life for 4 years.
No I really have no oppertunies to even talk to him. This is a weird uncommon situation
