Let's face it, the golden age od cinema ended a long time ago. Even before 2020 movies were somehow becoming less and less appealing even though technological advancement opened up possibilities that were not there before.

Then the pandemic came, theaters closed down all over the world and the industry is now a husk of it's former glory.

It seems like all production companies, famous directors, A list actors are waiting out the storm and the only movies releasing in the meantime go straight to streaming patforms and feel like student films most of the time.

2020 was the first time ever where the videogame industry actually generated more money than the movie's and that is really a sign of things to come as the audience are now getting their media from elsewhere and it would take something really worthwhile to get them back in theaters eating popcorn and watching a film.
