In my corrections class (I'm a criminal justice major), we were discussing the death penalty.

Here's my question: Which method would you choose?

Assume you are on death row and get to choose which option you wish to be executed by.

Which would you choose?

The common methods are as follows:

Lethal injection

Electrocution

Gas chamber

Hanging

Firing squad

There are also more morbid, historic methods of being executed such as being tied and quartered (being pulled apart by animals of some sort), stoning, drowning, burning, etc.

Which would you choose?

If you had to choose between living forever or dying right now, what would you choose?

I know it seems obvious, but really think about actually living forever. You would get to see the world change, but you'd also see everyone you care about die. I'm not talking about a superpower and I'm not making a reference to vampires, haha! Living forever doesn't mean you'd be healthy the entire time. You'd still age, get sick, and your body would still deteriorate, etc. There's no way to know if you'd be able to even walk, talk, think clearly, etc. You COULD live on while staying incredibly sick... consider these possibilities.

The only information you're given is "eternal life or die right now?"
