Hey, I like hip-hop music as much as the next man, I've been heavily into early 90s rap music since about 6, and always wore baggy clothes and speak with some slang, but not once have I ever thought I was a gangsta, I'm not living in a fantasy world where I think I'ma black guy from the ghetto lmao,. I know I'm jus a white goofball, I think you can enjoy the music without doing all that shit and thinking you are gangsta, it's jus entertainment,

So I don't think it's neccasarily rap music that's to blame for this, I think it's stupid people that can't separate art from rap that is to blame, unfortunately there seems to be a lot of them... so it does have some influence unfortunately...

Or maybe these people who do these crimes don't do it because of rap or to look cool, but they do it because they have mental problems, like maybe some repressed anger due to traumatic experiences? I dunno... What do u think?

As I enter my fourth decade, I find myself looking back on looking back on the stories that shaped me: the books, the movies, and the games. In the mid-90's, Lucasarts (the video game wing of Lucasfilm) was on a roll; pretty much everything the company made form 89-99 was gold. There were exceptions (I'm looking at YOU, Force Commander and Yoda Stories!), but some highlights of the art form came from them at this time. And when the announcement came that the prequel movies were finally being made, the decision came down that EVERY Lucasarts product would be a Star Wars product.

Legend says that when the word came down, project director Tim Schafer held a meeting, asking his subordinates "Okay, our next game will be the last non-Star Wars title we make here. It won't be fantasy, it won't be sci-fi, and it won't be real-world. What will it be?". They settled on:

Sort of a Casablanca-meets-Dia de los Muertos vibe, no? It very much has that. And a healthy dose of proto-Mexican mythology mixed in, too. If you haven't given it a whirl, I highly recommend you do.
