At pretty much any university you can expect biology to be impacted. So many eager "pre-med" freshmen. Then one day you start to realize that your plan to get a bio degree then go to med school sounds good, but you question whether or not it's what you really want.

I used to want to become a doctor, but now I'm thinking to pursue an art related career because I love ceramics which is not the most popular major interest to have. Also, I've done terribly in my sciences classes, so science just doesn't seem to be for me. Then I thought about how I could study business and art, which both come pretty naturally to me, to start an art business. Does this sound good to you? or do I just sound like a young person that needs to get real and get their head out ofthe clouds?

I used to think I needed to make a lot of money but the more I think about it I'm young and only really need to support myself, and if i decided to start a family and have kids in the future we woukldnt be living off of my income alone. I'd rather live less lavishly and be happy than to be miserable making 200K+ a year. After enduring a lot of depression and mental and emotional breakdowns this past semester I've come to realize that nothing can replace my happiness and I really value my mental health and stability.
