Hello! So I came across this website earlier relating to a question that I have had on my mind for a while. I am twenty years old and have never had a boyfriend. I have been asked out on dates in high school, but let down every guy because they either weren't my type or I did not feel that connection ( a wee bit of trust issues too). The closest that I have had to having a boyfriend was a couple of months ago. I met him online and he was a gentleman, but I was so nervous to even hold his hand, he assumed that I wasn't fully interested in him. He said that he liked me, although he wasn't sure if I truly knew what I wanted. He even said that he was willing to wait for me once I found out what I wanted. Shortly after a few hangouts, he ended up pursuing one of my friends, even though he was aware of the fact that she had a long-distance boyfriend. That really turned me off haha and I have been avoiding my friend like the plague. People think that I am picky and I can agree. I mean call it a self-esteem issue, but I know there isn't anything wrong with me because I have been asked out, and if I truly wanted a relationship, I would have given those other guys a chance. Guys tend to look at me, but I never truly initiate eye contact because I just feel as if I am not interested. I have disregarded any dating advice that I have heard from family and friends, because I find that they have not found themselves in stable relationships, so why should I take it from them? I would love an opinion from you all, I feel like the guy I previously saw was right about me. One of my friends even asked me if I was asexual, I might be (who knows). I love the idea of getting married and I love children, but if it doesn't happen then we will see. Do you think that being single is a choice or is it a matter of luck/being in the right place at the right time/meeting someone and taking the initiative to build a relationship? Thank you much :)

So there's this guy that I've known and liked for about 2 years now. We initially met through mutual friends, but I had a falling out with those friends but still remained cool with him. We've always kept in touch and will text once every few months to meet up and hang out, get food, go to a bar or movie. When we're together it feels like we're dating/boyfriend and girlfriend. We play off each other really well, never run out of things to say, have good chemistry ;) In the beginning I really want to make him my boyfriend, but I was too insecure to really suggest it... I was mad he didn't ask me to, and ignored him for a while.. I realized that was dumb, and finally told him why I was upset. Now we are back to just being friends.. which is fine... but it's just weird to be in a sexual relationship where there is no future. One thing I'm curious about is the things he says sometimes that leave me wondering how he truly sees me. I'm starting to think he thinks I'm kind of beneath his league or too inexperienced. Recently we were hooking up and after we were done, he was exhausted and was saying how I make him feel young again and how he hadn't done anything like that since he was 16. He said it like he was re-living his glory days for the moment as opposed to cherishing an intimate time that we had just had... I'm 25 and he is 27. I don't think he is that old that he really needs to make a statement that he feels I make him feel young again.. Is he uninterested in having sex with me?

So my guy and I are both 24. Been together for a year and a half. In our first months if dating he told me about his exes and old crushes even dating back to middle school; including the one right before he met me. He showed me pics etc, and I did the same.

I somehow got super insecure about the one tjay came right before me because he met her the summer before he met me.. They both have a military background and from same country of origin. He said it was just a crush and nothing happened.. Half a year later she commented on something on his Facebook and I made a snarky comment, he told me "I actually messaged her today" which made me more paranoid but I tried to be calm since he was open about it and even showed me the few messages they sent saying thays all that he was gonna reply to her.. Just "wanted to catch up" or soemrhing..

But the green monster kept coming and as I asked more later on I came to find out he acrually met her about a month before he met me and didn't come back from his training where he met her till a week before which means he must've still liked her a little when hevmet me and asked me out etc... Although he says by the time we went on an actual date he was over her, and tjay if he liked her at all when he met me; it was already fading for him...

I also found out that he didn't actually add her on Facebook till December, and we met in August... He said he didn't add her in July (when he added most of his training mates) because he didn't wanna seem creepy... And that when he did in December even tho they had no mutual friends, that he didn't think much of it cuz he didn't like her anymore.. That to him it was just an acquaintance, happened to think of her, added her and that's it...

As far as I know they're only contact after that was the messages he showed me..

Should I be worried? He seems to have been open about it when I ask but what do you guys think?
