Just on this site alone, be it "nice guys," "curvy girls," LGBT, such-and-such race won't date me/is holding me down etc. it seems a lot of people in society these days want to see themselves as victims. Some people even go so far as to borrow trouble on behalf of another group (ex: manginas). This just seems like such a self-limiting mindset. It's been said we are our own harshest critics, our own worst enemies. Is there any issue you can think of (be it tied to identity politics or not) where you may have externalized your problems when, in reality, a mental block was what really held you back? Do you think the grievances are overstated, or legitimate?

USA pros -
More overall freedom, more socially open people, more diversity, affordable, Nobody cares about where you're from, it's all about what you're doing in the present, strong variety of places to see and live in, Nationality (aka being an American) isn't based on your race and heritage like in many other countries. Basically, anyone can become an American and will be considered as such by the masses.

USA cons -
Way too much religious influence in government/politics, Over-funded military, under-funded public schools, Lack of fresh and healthful foods in many areas, Horrible paid vacation and worker's rights/corporations ability to abuse employees, too many Americans are at an unhealthy weight, drinking age is too high, a lot of tax dollars being wasted on a lot of senseless wars in the recent years.

(although I haven't traveled to visit Sweden long enough to know about it, here's my experience with Sweden)

Sweden pros -
Free education, High standard of living, rich cultural history, more free time, less work, kid-friendly environment, nearly all Swedes are bilingual, Overall beautiful people.

Sweden cons -
A lot of people are very socially introverted (especially towards foreigners) making it a little difficult to make friends with them, people are more bigoted and xenophobic (compared to the US), high cost of living, horrible climate, very little to no religious beliefs at all (nothing wrong with not believing in religion in general but the vast majority of athiests in Sweden apparently have no morals and values regardless of whether or not they have any sort of religious beliefs to a degree)
