If you have not yet read the first part of this myTake: The Truth About Religion and it's Role in Modern Times - Part 1, I ask that you please do so at this time before reading further. For those who have read part one, I thank you for returning for the last words on this subject.
Let us continue our journey...
We previously left off talking about our President's statement which he compared Christianity's history of the mass murders of the Crusades and the more recently egregious abuse and massive killings of the slavery days. African Americans were not human beings to Christians and were treated as property. There were numerous rapes of children, teens and adult women. History can't even begin to count the number of these atrocities and murders over the decades. The media was astounded by the Presidents comments and used this as one more way to divide the American people who deep down think they same way they do and to make him seem like a horrible person. Yet, it is they who are horrible people because they are openly suggesting that it is crazy to compare mass killings of slaves over the years to what the current terrorists are doing? One media spokesman said "Christians freed the slaves!" Lol. The Christians of the south were the main one killing blacks.
There is a section in the south known as the "Bible Belt". So in a sense they are basically saying that black lives aren't as important. Which has been proven through the recent murders of black teen boys by police officers and rent a cops aka George Zimmerman. All were praised for killing them labeling the boys as "thugs" when they weren't. If you really think about it, the media is doing the work for terrorist. A country divided is a country that will fall.
Now to further validate the President's statement on Christians needing to get off of their "high horses", there was a study at a credible University which compared the morals of religious people vs atheist people. The study showed that the atheist had far better morals than religious people. I'm not trying to pick on Christianity, its just the main religion that the media tries to portay everyday as if they are perfect and want to turn their respective noses up at the Muslim community and want to label ALL terrorist as Muslims. If you think about it, the battle of the ideology in religions is, in a sense, the same as the classic Chevy vs Ford debate, it depends if you were raised in a Ford or Chevy family. It doesn't really matter in the big picture now does it? Who really stands to gain the most behind closed doors?
I want to thank you again for reading this and being open minded enough to hopefully see through how the media is trying to divide our country and still promote subliminally inequality of other races. We are ALL Americans and more importantly human beings. I think it's time we start acting like it.
Sincerely,
Bryant

You focus mainly on the media's influence on society more so than religion's.
That's just how I perceive your Take.
You're correct. Religion is a tool repeatedly used by the media. Which is why I titled it "Religions role in modern times"
