Well, in order to welcome our new Topic choice Religion & Spirituality, i thought i would just make a list of really bizarre beliefs and religions, and some historical and interesting facts about them, there are so many beliefs out there that we have never heard of
I would love it if you guys will not share hate in this, actually, I would appreciate it a lot !!
Do you know any other? I would be glad as always to learn more on the comment section.
These are a few of the weirdest belief systems out there according to me.
The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven..” ― John Milton, Paradise Lost
RastafarianismIn other words, a voice against oppressive colonialism,
these people believe that the Ethiopian King Haile Selassie is the God of All. The aim of the religious movement is to restore pride in African identity which suffered because of the forces of colonialism. They proclaim Zion as the original birthplace of mankind and reject 'Babylon' or the world of materialism. Personally, I am a huge fan of Bob Marley and i like the principles of Rastafarian lifestyle and their music.
Raëlism
The believe that extraterrestrial species are responsible for the genesis of humans wow ... this guy, Claude Vorilhon is the one who formed the religion in 1974 as a U.F.O. religion. The believers call themselves Raëlians, and they believe that a humanoid species of extraterrestrials, Elohim are responsible for the genesis of the human race.
They believe that the Elohim will come back to meet us when we are peaceful and ready. Well I'd love to offer him a cup of tea :)
Jediism A religion inspired by George Lucas's 'Star Wars', Jediism was founded by Daniel Jones and his brother Barney in 2008.The Jedis believe that the 'Force' is a reality and that morality is an innate quality of human beings. Trust me, this is serious stuff out there.
Aghori well let's get to something a little creepy, a Hindu cult that is considered to have split off from the Kapalika order in the 14th Century AD. Many Hindus condemn the Aghoris due to their cannibalistic rituals. Followers of this cult carry a kapala, which is a cup made from a skull! Can you imagine these people eat everything, from rotten food to animal feces. The finality of their rituals is attained from eating the decaying flesh of a human. -burp-
Pana Wave or Panawave (Idk)This exceedingly odd group based in Japan, is scared witless by the presence of electromagnetic waves in the modern world, blaming them for climate change, environmental destruction and other worldly ills. So they dress up in white clothes (which, in addition to looking stylish, apparently offers them protection against EM waves), they wear white masks, drive white vans, and roam the countryside looking for special spots less polluted by harmful waves. All white, everything!!
Aetherius SocietyThis is basically a combination of a bit of Christian dogma with a sugar spoon of Hindu, a slice of Buddhism and Jewish beliefs, mixing them all together with a healthy dose of ufology, yes ufology, a study of UFOs and extraterrestrial life, in case you were about to Google it. These people strive to prevent the total annihilation of the Earth. So sort of, all religions rolled into one... I guess ...
Honestly, there are a lot more of other bizarre and amazing religions and beliefs out there.
Again, I wish we will not start a debate of whether something does not make sense or that YOUR god is the ONLY god, I don't want to hear that, leave that thought for yourself, and love that thought, but don't try to push it on others because you are not doing your self and your religion a favor.
Hope you enjoyed

Religions around the world - Facts and Gods - part 10.
AGHORI = YOU CAME CLOSE enough but, your perception is different.
Their principle is embrace everything! If you can focus on your oneness with GOD while being part of grossest activities, you attain a full control over yourself. It's a shortcut to finding everything, and better then meditation for decades in cave and forest. AGHORI worship the Destroyer in 'GOD= GENERATOR - OPERATOR - DESTROYER'. their ways are twisted but they are best and most effective!.. They accomplish things achieved by sages in 100 yr in 10 years.
And honestly cannibalism and animal feces is not even grossest things of their ritual, but remember they don't do it out of fun, these are their rituals, they focus on praying while they do these things. Another principles - Embrace the darkness in you, once you understand it, you will consume it and then there will only be light and enlightenment left.
Cannibalism is not gross,. As far as consuming Raw infant cadaver,
Performing Necrophilla ( sex with a human corpse) in graveyard in middle of night, publicly in front of your clan, along with praying to the God aka DESTROYER. ( No man will get a boner in such situation but they do) Oh!.. You cannot find an erection in human corpse the reason, AGHORI is is a MAN Cult!.. You will never find a women AGHORI, either she is fake or she isn't qualified.
Such are the challenges and examination for being a qualified AGHORI

To the followers, these are cherished and sacred beliefs. Let's try to respect that and not label people and their beliefs as weird or bizarre. Yes, the religious beliefs of people who live far from us or are more hidden or secret do seem very different and may not make sense. but we have to do our best to respect each other as long as no one is doing any harm like hurting kids or abusing people physically or mentally, or scamming people.
There is a section of the Buddhist religion that takes a young girl and turns her into a Godess called a "Kumari" and her feet can not touch the ground and she is pampered. Then, when she- let's say when she becomes a woman, she is turned out on her ear. Ex-Kumaris say they have a real hard time adjusting back to real life. I really enjoy reading your MyTakes, you really share info that interests me. I was thinking of doing some mytakes in a similar vein to yours, religion, travel, interesting facts. maybe we should do one together sometime or something. :)
I like the way how you look at such things :D I'm Catholic, but not very actively going to church or so... the Catholic church lost much of its respect in Belgium after a massive number of child abuse cases were covered up. The church leaders had had all these cases on their desk for the last 30 years but couldn't remember anything :o It's logical, what should they have said about their massive cover-up tricks :-(
I don't understand why people think the idea of aliens creating us is so absurd. It's not unlikely that an alien civilization developed to the point that they were able to create life. I believe it's possible that they interfered with our evolution and made us look like modern day humans. The bible says in Genesis "come let us make men in our image" which alludes to more than one god. Perhaps these were the Pleiadians. These aliens look like us. I belong to the sect JOS or Joy of Satan and we believe that Satan was in fact the leader of this alien civilization. I can't say I agree 100%, but I won't rule it out
A person religion is determined by geography! e. g. if you were born in Saudi Arabia you would be a Muslim but if you were born in Israel you would be a Jewish, etc, etc.
Not really sweety, there are a lot of territories with multiple religions, the Balkan Parts for example, the whole territory used to be Catholic & Orthodox, until the Ottoman Empire forced them to convert into Islam, so TODAY they are all mixed, some are still Catholic some are Muslim other are Orthodox :)
I understand that but what I meant was "generally speaking" geography determines your religious beliefs, e. g if you're born in India, in Iran, in Italy etc, etc. I'm not some idiot you're repyling to so don't call me "sweety" and I know there are exceptions to everything and that on reason I didn't mention the U. S.
I didn't know that being kind to you is something unacceptable, I called you sweety because I'm like this :) I'm a sweet person and I accept every opinion, I don't hate on you, I'm original for this and for my word choice, anyways, there are a few regions in Italy that are Protestants, and a few that are Jewish, obviously most of our country is Christian... but this has nothing to do with Geography but I STILL respect your opinion I don't want to argue with you :) so have a nice day... sweety <3

Good read/Take. I always enjoy reading/hearing about religions/beliefs other than my own. Listening with an open mind, is one way to improve upon ourselves, after all. :)
Well, I knew about Rasta... But other stuff really don't surprise me either.. I've heard some freaky stories in some hindu countries.. Stuff that would make the Western world think twice.. LOL.
