My take on "Race"

My take on

So, a little bird posted something about race that was supposed to be positive yet I disagreed. Now I want to share with everyone my opinion on "race".

I don't intend to gain sympathy from anyone, but maybe I could use a nobel prize just saying. Since I'm far too lazy to explain myself again and grab a thesaurus I will just quote what I said yesterday:

"White people- I admire your focus as entrepreneurs and your sense of discovery,
Asian people- I admire your discipline and hard work. Love specifically the Japanese Samurai culture.
Arabic people- I know quite a handful of Arabs, including Muslims that are far more respectful towards other´s beliefs than most people.
Black people- I admire the fact that you are tough and are great observers.
Latin people- Something I envy from Latin people and black people is the ability to spot malice in other´s intentions. And I admire Latinos confidence and warmth around others.

With all of said above, even counting the fact that these generalizations can be made and are accurate for the most part, the concept of "race" is completely wrong.

There are physical traits and attitudes that can be originated from somewhere but it´s not determined by "race", there is no such thing. I'm half Italian, my mom is American yet she has latino last names and I look white, what race does that makes me? The answer is none.

We can assume a person has traits from those originated from Asia yet we cannot assure he is Asian, or Chinese or Korean for that matter. We can assume a person has traits from those of African origins yet they might have French last names or be born from interracial marriage yet looking as a "black guy/girl".

Point is? Take a look at your family tree, you will not see "races" written down, only different origins. I believe if race exists then we are all f**king mixed. There, I said it."

Do you remember that scene from Star Wars?:

Well, that's how I feel when I see some of these racial threads.

My biggest problem with racism is not hating on another ethnic group but rather make you believe we are divided by races anymore.

Be positive :)
