This girl recently started working at my job, and I also just recently put in my notice to leave.
I was put in the girls area because of an injury I sustained. And I got to know her a little bit. She would ask me a lot of questions and somewhat personal questions, and would also volunteer her answers without me asking. She seemed super nice and interested.
Because my last day is Monday, I wanted to try and ask her out while I still could. So I went up to her today and asked if since I was leaving, she'd like to go out or do something. She had me repeat my question, but then she told me she had just been broken up with, and I apologized and she said I was super sweet.
As I was leaving I went back up to her, I apologized for my terrible timing, and she said I was fine, and she was really upbeat. Then I gave her a piece of paper with my phone number on it, and told her that since I probably wouldn't see her, I wanted to give her that if she changed her mind is just wanted to talk. She smiled at me and thanked me. And I went home.

I haven't seen her since, and I haven't heard from her. I know she just got broken up with, so not surprised nothing has happened already. But I had to extend my last day out a week, and I still haven't seen her, but I'm not going out of my way to do so.

I know the break up is fresh, but I'm surprised it's been a week, and she didn't even just take me up on my offer to just talk. She seemed into me before I started working with her, and working with her made me believe more.

Is it just the break up or something else?

Also, if I do see her before I leave, what could I say or should say?
