There's this guy that I know for a very long time and we're really close friends.

Despite the fact that we don't live near each other,we hang out quite a lot. We have a lot of mutual friends,so it's not really hard to catch up with him if we lose contact for a while.

Whenever we're together,he won't keep his hands of me. He always hugs me really tight or compliments me.

There was one time that he said that he loves my hair and my smile and that he would definitely be with me if he wasn't his girlfriend. Oh yeah,he has a girlfriend and they're about to celebrate their 1 year relationship.

However,their relationship hasn't always been perfect. His girl is really fragile,insecure,emotional,worried about nothing and other stuff that he doesn't really like. They fight A LOT. She breaks up with him all the time but then takes it back. She really doesn't know what she wants and he's starting to getting bored with it. But he cares about her and I can see that.
It's important to know that I'm not trying to break them up,I'm only trying to show him what he could have had.

Another time,he came to my house to sleepover and we actually slept together (just slept) but while we were lying down and talking,he touched my inner thighs,which is a total turn on for me,but i didn't do anything.
I also need to point out the fact that I couldn't sleep the whole night,I was just staring at him and at some point he turned around and hugged me without realizing I was awake. I must say it felt great!

A week after the sleepover,he came to my house again. When we decided to sleep,he told me that sleeping together didn't feel right to him because the only girl he had slept with was his girlfriend. We met in January in class. We were on separate teams at the time and had to get feedback from other teams, and we happened to sit next to him.

2 weeks later, we had to choose new partners for our 2nd game. He ran over to me, literally, when he saw someone else ask to be my partner. So we partnered up for the game.

We ended up working on the game for 3 weeks, nothing special, It was hard to get together since he lives on campus and I commute to college. The weekend before it was due I asked if I could stay the night to finish. He was totally into the idea and even gave me his bed to sleep in, he slept on the floor.

He worries about me constantly, but only said it once under his breath.
He tries to teach me things he is into constantly. (Tennis, LoL, Magic, etc.)
He let me stay over for a week straight because of personal issues on my part.
When we were sitting with our friends he only asked me to go see a movie, not all of us.
He tries to hang out with me one on one most times, or if we hang out in a group he sits next to me or right across from me.
While we don't text a lot, when its been a few days and I text him, even if its just to say hi, he gets excited in his replies.
He actually stops playing LoL to answer my calls.(haha)
He gets irritated when I bring up other guys.
He has told me he prefers taller girls (I'm 5'10)

The reason why I am lost is, I am not good a reading signs, I am only good at giving them, and I cannot tell since I personally thinks he likes another girl, but it could just be in my head.

While he does act nice around them, I get a vibe he is nervous around me. The one thing we haven't done is break the touch barrier. We hug yes, and he has let me lay my head on his lap, but as far as casual touching, its not there like how he is with other girls.

He is very very sweet and that's why I'm worried I'm misreading his signals.

Is he just a friend? Or is there more?
