Would you rather create something embarrassing and awful that will be remembered and beloved for being "so bad, it's good" forever, or create something artistically perfect and beautiful in every way that almost no one, say less than a hundred people, will ever see?

The first thing will be the low-point of your career for seven years before it suddenly gains cult phenomenon status. EVERYONE will acknowledge it is poorly made and incompetent, but marvel and wonder at it regardless. You'll probably earn at least six figures from this disaster you've created.

The latter thing will be considered the pinnacle of whatever industry or talent you make. Only a few people will witness it, some of whom will be experts and critics in the field. Everyone will consider this to be one of the all time greats in whatever it is, but an accident, fire, etc, will destroy all copies of this soon after. IT CANNOT BE REPRODUCED. The critics and experts will go on to praise your work in written format, but no one else will ever get to see it outside of the few dozen or so who first witnessed it.

So would you rather create something so horrible and incompetent, it makes you famous, or make something great and incredible that few will ever get to see or know ever existed?

I think I currently am making the later with the stuff I write. I am unsure if anyone will ever see it, but I get self satisfaction in that I am making something that at the end of the day, I am proud of.

Just wanting to see how many people on here are. i feel like it's a horrible fad that almost nobody apparently gets away from but very few people. what do you think?
