I had a friend that had a daughter (under 16 months old) and she had the hardest time getting the child to sleep. Tried warm milk, story time, singing, holding, laying in the crib and letting her scream herself to sleep to swaddling her and nothing seemed to work. So much so that when I told her I thought I could get her to sleep she didn't hesitate to say "if you can generously then by all means do so". Which I had her asleep in under 45 seconds where her mother had previously tried on different days for hours.

Since I'm a nice guy, I'm going to tell you all how I did it, so that if you are having such a problem now you can try it to see if it works for you too.
Step 1 pick up baby

Step 2 turn babys head facing their shoulder

Step 3 place the babys head on your chest (middle of chest, as in over heart area)

Step 4 cover other ear (so the only sound they hear clearly is the heart beat

Step 5 breath very slowly, very calmly

Step 6 relax as much as possible since that will cause your heart to slow down

Step 7 grin happily as crying baby falls asleep easily

Step 8 slowly and steadily lower the baby into their crib and cover them up.

Should a baby really be having candy at that age? Wouldn't it be just as happy with baby food or a nice balloon and not having to begin a lifelong addiction to sugary sweets so early?
