Terrible with money, baby mom drama?

I’ve been best friends with this guys for 13 years. He was always in love with me though. I cut him out of life for a few years and during that time he had two children, two different women. One is fine, good to deal with. One is a nightmare that he’s been trying to get a peace order against. Has threatened me and my child. Calls everyone down to the dirt has a million charges. Has lied about her child being dead to get his attention and a text back. He has the child most times but she’s non stop drama. He’s also really bad with money. He works seasonally. And never has ANY. Ever. I have to bring him toilet paper and food sometimes. He does keep up with his bills. He’s constantly selling or trading vehicles. Bumming money or asking for loans off people. He doesn’t ask me for much, but I help out of pity. He’s going to lose his license soon because he owes thousands in fines. He says he’s gonna pay them, but he’s again talking about what he will buy instead if he sells something and gets money. He’s a very sweet, affectionate man. Goes above and beyond for me. But I don’t know if I can keep going. I feel drained. His parents are also overly involved in his life. Every. Single. Day. And they are just as bad with money as him. I don’t know what to do anymore besides leave the situation and rid myself of the drama and becoming poor myself (I’m good with money) but outside of that, he just treats me so well. And I feel bad for not wanting him due to being reckless and having so much drama attached to him
