The opposite happened in my brother's case. He promised his girlfriend he would return and propose. She promised to wait for him. He's 26 years old and came back from the military after 3 years. He came back to surprise her with an engagement ring but instead finds her making out with his friend. He feels he waited for nothing. Is that version rare? The guy faithfully waiting but the woman didn't.

Dawn on the beach with a skunk named 'Sharp'

After my long encounter with a cute li'l skunk this morning, a few locals of Kiawah Island in South Carolina later told me about a skunk named 'Sharp' who initially scared the hell out of me when he surprised me while I was waiting for the rising Sun on this beautiful East Coast beach.
