Personally. I just don't see them as worth your time if you're already squatting and doing pullups. Squats gives more overall benefits and trains the legs more completely.

Deadlifts don't provide as much leg strength or development but are just as if not more neurally taxing. Taking away from squats. Yet just Pullups develops back strength and muscle development better than deads without the downside of Deadlift recovery.

As far as carryover to sports and general life, squats and pullups have more benefit. Pretty much the only carry over from dead this is for deadlift variations and moderate grip strength gains.

If you have it somewhere in your routine for getting some hinge work, stretching the hammies with some lightweight stiff legged, that makes sense. But going heavy as possible and making it a focal point of your routine just isn't worth it.

Deadlift hits a lot but doesn't do anything quite as well. Grip strength. Pullups gives you more. Back development. Pullups give you more and better recovery.

Rear leg development. AtG Squats give you more and shift to front squats hits the upper back better than deads. Other that specifically hinging deadlift provides no unique benefit to any meaningful degree yet taxes you so much.

Using deadlift as a once in awhile strength test a couple times a year to see the progress in your strength program. That has value.

Light deadlifts for the stretch. That has value. Tho Jefferson Curls do a better job for that specific goal
