Is this normal behavior in a relationship?

I get so excited to talk to my girl every night and through the day I'm like a giddy little school girl. When we talk on the phone it's for hours and hours AND we are laughing for like 80-90 % of the time. I mean guttural laughs even. 2 nights ago we were on the phone for almost 7 hours and each night we talk we only force ourselves to stop because of work and crap in the morning. I honestly don't know of other guys doing this with their gfs. Is this unique and what do ladies think? XD

I think it sounds like you really have a connection. Honestly, the fact you can talk on calls for that long too and not just text messages means you’ve moved past the stage of any awkwardness and are very comfortable with each other. This seems to be the making of a good relationship.

On a more negative note (sorry), this does sound like the typical dynamics in an early relationship. Which isn’t necessarily a criticism, and if this connection wasn’t there at the beginning then there wouldn’t be much hope for a relationship. But this is quite a common way for people to interact at the start - the butterflies, the hours of laughter… This is the honeymoon phase essentially. So, as I did previously, don’t worry if this starts to fade away. When this happened to me, I thought the relationship was failing, but it was simply evolving into something more serious. We still laugh and get the occasional butterflies, but the relationship has moved on from being happy and excited to feeling loved and secure.

Its an amazing feeling. I haven't met a guy who showed that much communication type effort since early-mid 2020. But he had to go off to the military again so yep. Everyone after that acts like talking on the phone is such hard work. They’re mostly texters which i am not

we text when I'm in class or she's at work but otherwise we love spending time together on the phone.

I'm honestly just going to say that based on my own observations I'm just not like most guys tbh. I prioritize my love over other aspects of life. Money won't ever make me happy. I can only really enjoy it with someone I love.

Yes when I've met a girl that i have a good connection with we do talk for hours, but its usually in person, I prefer communication face to face. I have had long conversations with partners over the phone regularly in the early stages, but in person is preferred. I can't say its been like that with many of the girls from my past, but its a good feeling when it does happen.

I'm going to be honest here and say I think we talk on the phone because we won't be able to keep our hands off each other and I've never been so ummm bold with touching like I am with her and she's totally into it omggg 🙈

How long have you been with your girlfriend? seems like something u do when you first start dating. It’s fun to be excited in a relationship and getting to know her. I live with mine now so I don’t have this experience, but definitely sounds normal to me

yes we are only starting out BUT I never really experienced this with any previous girl I've talked to. It's kinda crazy tbh. We click so well and I've never had that before. Only thing we haven't clicked on is that she loves watching Kardashians and Seinfeld and ummmm I kinda DONT! lol

Then I asked her if she liked Star Wars and she said it was alright. So then I said what about Lord Of the Rings? She went DEAD silent. I was like OKAAAAAY scratching that one off the list and we both just started laughing our asses off! XD

Only issue is if you are local. It’s ok to do this if you live long distance. But if not then basically you are doing what girls do with girlfriends and that’s wasting time talking about whatever and gab laugh etc. Connection is important but make sure that you don’t fall into the trap of doing what her girlfriends do and just talking to her on the phone for hours like a friend. Us girls lose respect and get bored rather quickly with this and you willl be friend zoned eventually. As science is we need to feel like you are in your manhood to lust after. We don’t lust guy friendship. After you been together for a long time a friendship will occur naturally.

While this approach certainly allows a guy to connect with a woman on her level, it does not create the type of respect and attraction that makes a woman feel truly passionate towards him. Promise it to be true if she feels you are a equal she will feel she can dominate you and we don’t like that. But don’t be mean just make a healthy time with her maybe cut that conversation down and let her go a couple hours without hearing from you. I am happy you found someone to be comfortable with

nah I dont think it's like that tbh. There's plenty of lusty stuff going on too, no doubt about it. And there's things we both do and want to do that no girlfriend's are gonna touch lol. She's more mature too, not really into games. We just connect like crazy. It's honestly electric. This hasn't happened in past relationships for me, EVER.

lol well this is cute! xD But maybe consider how drained you both might feel later if someone had to leave early or stop talking for a while if something happened?

I use to talk to my guy almost every single day for 4-5 hours straight! lol However, from my experience I learnt that he started to work extra hours just to catch up with work cause he spent his time talking to me and I ended up missing class sometimes. *yeah lol we were just crushing on each other so hard* We both ended up feeling drained at different times but we were able to work things out together to make it work for the both of us. *mind you we have different time zones* We don't talk as much as before on the weekdays but on the weekends we're talking 4-5 hours! We do message each other daily once a day and wish each other the best!

It's different for every couple but I'm happy for the both of you! I hope you guys can make it work! ;)

Totally fun to do, my first real boyfriend we did this a lot. I had bluetooth ear buds, with microphone for phone calls... We'd do this until they went dead.

Of course I would of rather been with him in person touching, but you know all about that and how it wasn't possible.

Just don't over do it, don't make the rest of your life hard. Sounds like that is what your doing though, by stopping it after awhile.

I'd still do it with someone these days, but I wouldn't miss sleep over it, cause I don't work well the next day If I keep falling asleep.

its addicting, and i think its unhealthy too, because we're so attached and it just makes it so we're just giving them all out attention and basically not making time for ourselves, and doing things for ourselves. and I think thats bad.
